[RL with Mireille, forward-dated to Monday]
Karen could see a pattern happening. Three days in a row, she'd gone to sleep, and woken up with someone who wasn't there before. While she hoped that would be the end of it, she was a realist, so she'd gone to bed expecting to be with yet another seemingly random person from the community in the morning. She'd even made sure to fall asleep in a neutral position this time, one that wouldn't lead to any unnecessary embarrassment on anyone's part.
Of course, none of this mattered once she was asleep.
In her sleep, Karen had found something warm and soft next to her, and snuggled up to it. The resulting sensation brought back memories of feelings that naturally immediately invaded her dreams, leading her to cling to it and, of all things, cry a little bit.
So it was that, when morning came, Karen's arms were wrapped around Mireille Bouquet, and her face was buried in one of the woman's shoulders.

Which meant it was the damn community again.
She muttered something unprintable to herself in Corsican as she opened her eyes, sitting up slowly. She was on her back, in...well, an unfamiliar room, with a blue haired girl stretched out across her.
To her credit, she didn't panick. After having Zelda turn up on the couch, and that other woman on the bench, she had some idea what to expect. But that didn't make it any less...aggravating. "Hey." She reached out to shake the girl on the shoulder gently. "Where am I?"

"Nnngh?" Karen turned her head vaguely in the direction of the voice as she started to open her eyes. For some reason she could see her room out of her left eye, but her right could only see something she wasn't quite sure what it was--
The realization that she was on top of someone, and that their faces were incredibly close together, came suddenly, all at once. The realization that the virus was still going on, and thus this was probably to be expected, didn't hit until after Karen practically jumped off of her, shouting an apology in Japanese.

She offered the other a weak sort of smile, sitting up a bit more now, checking herself over. She was dressed in her red shirt and black skirt, but her feet were bare, and she had her purse...which was probably why she wasn't panicking. Her Walther was in the purse...the gun was almost a security blanket for her.

"...I'm sorry," Karen finally said.

She was pretty sure from the japanese, but it never hurt to ask.

The name was familiar... "We spoke before, didn't we?"

Suddenly, she paused, standing there holding the others arms. "This means I 'hoped.'" She seems quite startled by this...perhaps because she was asleep through it.

It took Karen a moment to realize what the significance. "Ah... yes, well, it happens sometimes," she said, feeling like she needed to say something and not really having anything more useful.

She'd been lucky so far, both her 'virused' people had come to her. She had almost convinced herself it was going to keep working out like that. Except it obviously wasn't. "I guess we're stuck with each other for the day, huh?"
Sorry about that, I kinda... fell asleep. I guess we'll continue when you get a chance?
"It's all right." Karen looked over Mireille and thought for a moment. "I guess I'm out sick today. No one would believe you were still in middle school."
I can't Awesome today. I have the Fail.
"Are you able to miss school without an issue?" She asked as she turned to Karen. Mireille had not attended much school in the proper sense...she'd been home schooled before her parents were killed, and while she had attended school in France, her attendance had been...somewhat poor.
Be sure you get plenty of rest and drink lots of Kickass.

"So this is something you've had to get used to? Making up excuses?" Mireille grinned and held up an invisible phone to her ear. "I'm sorry, I can't come to school today, I woke up with a french woman in my bed."

She motioned towards the computer on her desk. "You should probably try to contact her. I don't know if an e-mail to someone not on the community will go through, but it's worth a try."
no subject
"She never checks email, I'm not even sure she knows the password for the laptop." Mireille shook her head. "Although it's always possible I guess." She considered the computer for a moment, then shook her head. "Nah."

"So I suppose we just kill time here until it sends me back?"
